iACT KAMA TRAINING

Kellogg Community College’s Advanced Manufacturing Assembly Training (KAMA) prepares the workforce of today and tomorrow for in-demand careers in production assembly and technology. We do this using certification-based training focused on industry-recognized credentials. The KAMA program involves a hands-on lab that applies personal and team-based skill sets and production concepts in lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, process compliance and quality. Following the successful completion of KAMA training, participants will:
  • Understand the role of a production associate and the manufacturing environment, which includes performing the physical demands of the job
  • Gain leadership skills including professionalism, responsibility, time management, teamwork and accountability
  • Read and comprehend performance measures and standards
  • Create an effective resume and hone interview techniques
Program graduates will be prepared for entry-level production operation or technician jobs in manufacturing environments and will have earned credentials including the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) 10-Hour General Industry Certification, the WorkKeys National Career Readiness Certificate and 8.74 college credits.
