KCC PICKLEBALL COURTS
Kellogg Community College has 12 pickleball courts available for use by the public on its North Avenue campus in Battle Creek, located at 450 North Ave.
The College welcomes pickleball players as guests on campus and manages the courts, which are available to the general public, on a first-come, first-served basis.
For more information about the KCC pickleball courts, please contact the office of Eric Greene, Vice President for Communications and Advancement, at greenee@kellogg.edu.
Court Reservations for Tournaments
Groups interested in reserving the KCC pickleball courts for formal weekend tournaments must fill out a KCC Building Facilities Request.
The KCC Pickleball Project
In 2023, KCC partnered with the Calhoun County Visitors Bureau and more than 100 individuals and organizations to fund a $160,000 court expansion project.
Thanks to the community’s support, the KCC pickleball complex now features 12 courts for recreational and tournament play and serves as the largest outdoor pickleball destination in the Battle Creek area. The construction – which began in the fall of 2023 and will be completed in spring 2024 when the courts reopen after winter – involved the renovation of eight existing courts and addition of four new courts. The expanded complex will create opportunities for more usage, including tournaments.
Funds raised for the KCC Pickleball project supported improvements and additions including:
- Converting two tennis courts into four new pickleball courts
- Repairing and improving the surfaces of eight existing courts
- Adding windscreens to create optimal conditions for gameplay
- Adding benches for players waiting between games
- Adding new nets and court dividers
- Adding gates between courts for faster travel
