MiLEAP JOB TRAINING
The Michigan Learning and Education Advancement Program (MiLEAP) is a workforce training program funded by the U.S. Department of Education that often includes blended courses with online, in-person and clinical components, depending on the program.
In addition to hands-on training opportunities, MiLeap participants get a free laptop computer; access to career coaches to help with goal setting, academic advising, barrier removal and job placement; and instruction in financial literacy and basic computer operation skills.
Current training opportunities include:
- Basic Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)
- Industrial Electricity/Electronics training
- Industrial Welding training
- Nursing assistant (CNA) training
- Phlebotomy training
- Retail management training
Select training is free for eligible participants who meet income and residency guidelines.
