NEW STUDENTS

Welcome to Kellogg Community College! If you’re starting your education at KCC for the first time, your first step is to apply. Find our free online application by visiting kellogg.edu/apply. 

Bruin Portal

The Bruin Portal is where you manage all of your KCC business, including activating your account, checking your KCC email, planning your schedule, registering for classes, setting up KCC alerts, viewing your financial aid status, and much more.

K-ID Number

Every KCC student is issued an identification number (K-ID). You will receive this upon applying, along with your official welcome letter, and through the mail. You can also retrieve your K-ID through the Bruin Portal login page.

Next Steps

Applying to KCC is just the first step in the ACE It admissions process: Apply. Connect. Enroll. Below are the steps students should take once they’ve applied to fourth connect with the College and enroll in classes.

Verify Your Address

All students must verify their address to ensure the correct tuition rate is applied to their account. For more information on this process. Please visit the Address Verification page. If you have questions, email records@kellogg.edu or call 269-965-5522.

Complete the FAFSA

Students who wish to apply to receive financial aid will be required to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at fafsa.gov.

Submit High School and/or College Transcripts

Submit your official high school and/or college transcripts in order to receive credit for either courses you have previously received or to provide proof that you meet the required prerequisites for your courses.

Complete Placement Testing

Submit your PSAT, SAT or ACT scores to the Records and Registration Office or complete the Accuplacer assessment for course placement.

Academic Advising

Students are required to meet with an academic advisor to review requirements for their program of study. Appointments can be made using Starfish (in the Bruin Portal), by emailing advising@kellogg.edu or calling 269-965-4124.

Complete Learning Technologies Readiness

Learning Technologies Readiness must be completed to maintain registration.

Register and Pay

Students are encouraged to register for classes online through the Bruin Portal and set up a payment plan. All students, including those paying with financial aid and scholarships, have two payment options:
