Bruin Scholarship Open

This annual signature event, one of the largest in the area, raises funds for the KCC Foundation Scholarship Program. Since 1998, the Bruin Open has raised nearly $1.8 million from generous sponsors, donors and golfers. Many students’ lives have been impacted by the funds raised at this event. Students are able to take their first college steps at KCC or walk across the stage to receive their diploma, all because of the tremendous support for this event. At each Bruin Scholarship Open, we offer “start from your cart” service assisted by our dynamic athletic teams, super scramble golf, lunch & dinner, gift bags, raffles, game holes, putting contest and more.

Over $135,000 was raised at the 27th Bruin Scholarship Open in 2024. The Foundation extends its deepest gratitude to all the contributors, partners, golfers, course staff and KCC crew who helped make this event such a success. We are especially grateful to our major sponsors: IBEW Local 445, Laborers Local 355, Eisele Family Foundation, Mark O’Connell Family, Schweitzer, Inc., Alro Steel, Schroeder DeGraw, Canon Solutions America, Miller Financial Services, Southern Michigan Bank & Trust, Heritage Chevrolet, and host site Binder Park Golf Course.
