BIOLOGY

With small class sizes and dedicated instructors, our Biology courses target all types of learners through dynamic lectures and hands-on lab activities.

Students looking to enter health careers can take courses such as Anatomy and Physiology, which are required for KCC Allied Health programs. We also offer general Biology courses that help fulfill graduation requirements for a KCC degree.

For a very affordable tuition, university-bound students can get a high-quality start with instructors who work directly with their students. We offer several science-majors courses, such as Microbiology and Cellular Biology, that are highly transferrable to other colleges.

WMU Articulation Agreement in Biomedical Sciences

The KCC-Western Michigan University institutional articulation agreement is designed for students who follow a prescribed plan of study leading to an associate degree at KCC. The credits from each KCC program will be included in the total credit hours required for the WMU baccalaureate degree, thus saving students the confusion of determining which courses transfer and which do not.

Alumni Testimonials

Here’s what some of our alumni have to say about their studies at KCC.

Micah Coplin, WMU student in Elementary Education:

“Teachers at KCC care about their students and want to see them do well and be successful in life.”

Kevin Schmitt, graduate student in Cell and Molecular Biology, Eastern Michigan University:

“KCC fosters and teaches students how to work independently. They invest the time in working problems out in class and discussing the how-to.”
