HVAC Training at KCC
KCC offers a certificate and an associate degree in Industrial HVACR. See the requirements via the following links to KCC’s Academic Catalog:
- Industrial HVACR Certificate (25 credits)
- Associate of Applied Science in Industrial Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (60 credits)
Unlike courses in traditional academic programs, HVAC training at KCC is “open-entry.” Instead of students attending classes at specific times in classrooms, HVAC students complete training modules on their own time in actual training lab environments. And instead of courses that require a full semester to complete, HVAC training is “competency based,” meaning the training is completed in short modules that students can take as much or as little time to complete as needed.
