BRUIN BLAST 2025
Kellogg Community College’s annual Bruin Blast welcome back event for students will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 10, on KCC’s North Avenue campus in Battle Creek!
This year’s theme is A Blast from the Past! Travel back in time for a dino-mite celebration of all things Bruin, including access to a variety of RSOs, civic engagement opportunities, area businesses and KCC resources to explore. Of course, there will also be:
- Activities including volcanic inflatables, games, and digging for fossils!
- Prizes
- Free lunch and “Fried Dino Claws!”
- A limited-edition free Bruin shirt!
Bruin Blast is a fantastic way to have fun while setting yourself up to hit the ground running as successful Bruins here at KCC and beyond. Everything is FREE with a current student ID number!

Regional Center Dates
The T-rex T-riffic fun continues at our regional centers! Keep your eyes peeled at your home regional center to see when festivities will happen at your local campus!
- Eastern Academic Center (Albion)
- Grahl Center (Coldwater): September 22, 10 am until 3 pm, Grahl is hosting snacks, food, swag, and a chance to win dino-mite prizes!
- Regional Manufacturing Technology Center (Battle Creek):
- Fehsenfeld Center (Hastings): All day from October 6 to 9, Fehsenfeld puts their own twist on Bruin Blast by tying it to Lief Erikson Week, enter for prizes and celebrate all things Bruin!

Civic Engagement Fair
Part of Bruin Blast is an opportunity to explore all the different community partners we have that need your help! Kellogg Community College is committed to the development of students through service-learning and civic engagement and strongly encourages students to gain experience in this field during their time here.
